Our Story
Sthembiso Mbhele & Associates was founded by Sthembiso Ishmael Mbhele. He completed his B Proc degree and law school at the University of Durban Westville in 2000. He then started working at a reputable attorney’s firm in Durban as an articles clerk. After being admitted as an attorney he decided that he could provide a much better service to the public by offering his legal assistance on a more personal level, and thus he started his own firm in 2003. He further completed his LLM degree specializing in business law in the year of 2016, and is currently studying towards his MBA. He is currently the sole director of the firm.

Our Team
Sthembiso Ishmael Mbhele
Founder / Director
Sthembiso is the founder and Director of the firm. He is an admitted attorney with a right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa. He also possesses a Masters in Business Law and is currently doing his final year towards a Masters in Business Administration. He has been in the practice for over 15 years with extensive knowledge and experience in corporate law, supply chain policy, criminal and employment law litigation. He has sat on legal panels and advisory boards for various government institutions such as the Municipal Bids Appeals Tribunal under the KZN Treasury Department, the KZN Department of Transport, Community Safety and Liaison and EThekwini Municipality. He is also the lead attorney and / or team leader in the proposed project.Nolwazi Nonduduzo Malimela
Associate
Nolwazi is an associate at the firm. She is an admitted attorney with over four years’ experience. She specialises in criminal law, family law and civil litigation, particularly collection matters. She has sat on various panels at conferences and has been aired on radio stations as a legal commentator on various legal topics and trending court cases. She is also excellent in alternative dispute resolution.Linda Dube
Consultant
Linda is an associate at the firm. He is an admitted attorney and conveyancer with over 35 years’ worth of experience in the legal industry. A well-respected member of the legal fraternity, Linda specialises in the transfer of private, public or commercial property, commercial and labour law litigation. His knowledge and experience in South African Town Planning legislation is impeccable. He is also a force to reckon with in criminal law and administration of estates. He has sat as a member and prosecutor of the Enquiry Committee of the KZN Law Society. He has sat as an assessor in the High Court on various occasions. He is also a member of the Municipal Bids Appeals Tribunal and a legal panel member for the Department of Cooperative Government and Traditional Affairs.
Peter Gwindima
Legal Consultant
Peter is a legal consultant at the firm. He possesses a Masters in Business Law and offers support in corporate law related matters. His work includes advising, conducting research, preparing legal opinions and training corporate clients on corporate governance, legal compliance and risk management. He assists our corporate clients with structuring of commercial entities, formation of companyboards and training of board members, shareholders and various stakeholders within commercial entities. He is also tasked with drafting shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, MOIs as well as drafting, negotiating and reviewing various contractual agreements.
Siphiwe Mhlongo
Paralegal
Siphiwe is a paralegal with over 12 years’ worth of experience in litigious matters, particularly pension related and personal injury matters. He is tasked with consulting or liaising with clients and third parties such as hospitals, police officials and relevant experts. He also assists with drafting, serving and filing of court documents.
